Life is challenging and sometimes we need help - a listening ear or a supportive presence to continue managing our daily stressors or major life changes. It is the first step that is the most difficult and seeking help takes courage. We are our own worst critics, and I believe that focusing inward and lending ourselves kindness and grace can significantly contribute to our well-being.
I provide compassionate marriage and couples counseling, as well as individual therapy for adults and teens.
Who I Am
Hi, I’m Macey. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I am passionate about empowering you to overcome obstacles that inhibit growth and fulfillment and address your needs with compassion and understanding. I believe that we all need a space to process our thoughts and feelings, though we often find reasons to neglect this need. Our lives are too busy, other things take priority, or perhaps we believe we are not worthy of designating time and energy for ourselves.
How We’ll Work Together
I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to provide a comprehensive approach to healing and personal growth. CBT focuses on identifying and changing negative thought patterns and behaviors, helping clients develop practical skills to manage their emotions and improve their well-being. EMDR, on the other hand, is particularly effective for processing and resolving past traumas by facilitating the integration of distressing memories, leading to reduced emotional charge and improved resilience. By combining these evidence-based approaches, I work with clients to foster lasting change, enhance coping strategies, and support their journey towards a more balanced and fulfilling life.
